Haj Mubarak! SpiceJet commences its Haj 2023 operations with flights carrying pilgrims from five Indian cities

The airline has inducted two wide-body A340 aircraft for Haj operations
To operate 200 special Haj flights carrying close to 21,000 pilgrims

GURUGRAM, June 7, 2023: SpiceJet today commenced its Haj operations by operating special flights from Bhopal, Gaya, Vijayawada, Aurangabad and Srinagar. The airline has inducted two wide-body A340 aircraft for its Haj operations.

Shri. Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, flagged off SpiceJet’s first Haj flight from Srinagar.

SpiceJet will operate special flights from Aurangabad, Vijayawada, Bhopal, Gaya and Srinagar to Jeddah between 7th June and 22nd June, 2023. Return flights from Medina are scheduled from 17th July to 2nd August, 2023. SpiceJet will operate 200 special flights carrying close to 21,000 pilgrims.

In addition to the A340, SpiceJet will deploy its Boeing 737 MAX aircraft for these special flights. SpiceJet was the only Indian airline to operate special Haj flights last year and ferried around 5500 pilgrims.
