Q1: Why is SpiceJet moving to Terminal 2 (T2) at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

Ans:Effective 22nd September, 2019 the entire airline operation of SpiceJet will shift to Terminal 2 of Mumbai Airport.
The transition is being proactively planned and implemented by the airline with the active support of Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) to enhance passenger convenience and improve connectivity of International and domestic passengers. The consolidation of operations (both passenger and cargo) will help SpiceJet efficiently service thousands of passengers travelling with SpiceJet to and from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport across both its domestic and international networks by consolidating operations under one Terminal. It will lead to better synergies and cut down costs substantially for the airline.

Q2: Which flights of SpiceJet are being shifted to Terminal 2?

Ans: The entire flight operations of SpiceJet will be shifted to Terminal 2 (T2).

Q3: Has SpiceJet shared this information of complete movement of operations to Terminal 2 (T2) with its customers?

Ans: Yes, SpiceJet has sent e-mailers/SMS notifications, social media updates well in advance informing passengers of this move. However, in case, there are any customers who are still not aware of this move, SpiceJet has made special arrangements for passengers to be dropped at T2.

Q4: Where is Terminal 2 (T2)?

Q5: What mode of conveyance can one use to reach Terminal 2?

Ans: The following modes of conveyance are available to reach Terminal 2 from Terminal 1:

  • Taxi or Private Car
  • Auto rickshaw from T1 auto stand to T2 auto on the ground level

Q6: What will happen if I miss my flight due to this Terminal change?

Ans: As long as you reach SpiceJet's airport counters 45 minutes prior to the time of departure of your flight, we will make every effort to connect you to your flight. However, if you are not able to make it on time, SpiceJet will reschedule your flight without any additional charges for travel dates up to 15th October, 2019 or refund your ticket in full.

Q7: What modes of conveyance are available for passengers landing at Terminal 2?

Ans: One can use the following modes of conveyance to travel from Terminal 2 to their desired destination:

  • Taxi or Private Car
  • Auto from Auto stand
