SpiceJet tops On-time performance among full-grown carriers

Hyderabad, 12 February, 2016: SpiceJet, India’s favourite budget airline, has topped the on-time performance for January 2016, among all full-grown carriers operating from Hyderabad. This is the second consecutive month that the airline has achieved this feat from the Hyderabad airport.

The airline has registered an OTP of 87% during the month which is also an improvement from its December 2015 OTP of 82.2% for Hyderabad

Attributing this regular betterment in on-time performance to a smart tactical move of speed enhancement of its Bombardier Q400 planes, Rohit Pal, Sr. GM, Flight Operations, SpiceJet, said “Improving upon all our operational aspects has always been our endeavor. Punctuality of flights is a key barometer of customer confidence and all our team members have put their heart and soul for a steady improvement. We wish to carry on with the momentum going forward.”

SpiceJet has been delivering the industry’s best numbers on the operational front in the recent past. The airline has registered a PLF (passenger load factor) of above 90% for nine months in a row including Dec ’15.
