SpiceJet adds Kishangarh as its 8th destination under UDAN
Provides much needed air connectivity to Ajmer and Pushkar

GURUGRAM, September 4, 2018: SpiceJet the country’s favourite carrier, today announced the launch of its operations for the much awaited un-served market of Kishangarh effective 8th October 2018.

The airline will operate a daily direct flight on Delhi-Kishangarh-Delhi sector. The marble city of Kishangarh marks SpiceJet’s eighth destination under the regional connectivity scheme. The airline was awarded the route under UDAN II.

The announcement was made in the august presence of Smt. Vasundhara Raje, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan. On the occasion, G P Gupta – Chief Strategy Officer, SpiceJet handed over the first ticket to Smt. Vasundhara Raje, thereby marking the formal announcement of the launch of the new flight service.

Pushkar is one of the oldest cities in India. The city of Pushkar is home to the famous Jagatpita Brahma Temple considered to be one of the five sacred pilgrimage destinations for Hindus.

The famous Ajmer Sharif Dargah of Sufi Saint Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti located at Ajmer attracts millions of people every year from India and abroad.

The new daily flight will provide pilgrims and tourists a much better access to Ajmer and Pushkar.

With the addition of the Delhi-Kishangarh-Delhi flight, SpiceJet will operate 17 flights under UDAN on the routes of --- Mumbai-Porbandar, Mumbai-Kandla-Mumbai, Hyderabad-Puducherry-Hyderabad, Jaipur-Jaisalmer-Jaipur, Delhi-Adampur-Delhi, Chennai-Hubli-Chennai, Hyderabad-Hubli-Hyderabad and Delhi-Kanpur-Delhi.

To celebrate the launch, SpiceJet has announced a limited period special introductory all-inclusive one-way fare of Rs. 2060/- for Delhi-Kishangarh and Rs. 1980/- for Kishangarh-Delhi. The offer is applicable for bookings made on a first come first serve basis.

With the introduction of the daily direct flight services on the route, passengers from Kishangarh can now conveniently travel to a host of other cities both on SpiceJet’s domestic as well as international network via multiple onward connections from Delhi.

SpiceJet will be deploying its Bombardier Q-400 aircraft on the route. SG 8768 operating on the Delhi-Kishangarh route will depart from Delhi (Terminal 2) for Kishangarh at 04.05 pm, whereas SG 8769 operational on the Kishangarh-Delhi route will depart at 05.30 pm.

SpiceJet was awarded 22 new sectors under the second round of bidding for the Government of India's UDAN Regional Connectivity Scheme. Out of these 22, 19 catered to unserved markets of Kannur (Kerala), Darbhanga (Bihar), Ozar (Nashik), Pakyong (Sikkim), Kishangarh (Rajasthan), Lilabari (Assam), Thanjavur (Tamil Nadu), Bokaro(Jharkhand) and Solapur (Maharashtra) whereas 3 were the underserved markets of Hubli (Karnataka).

Bookings for tickets are now open on www.spicejet.com, SpiceJet’s mobile app and through online travel portals and travel agents.
