Latest Updates for Asymptomatic passengers:

Tamil Nadu: All asymptomatic Business travelers from all states, apart from Maharashtra and Gujarat, will be exempted from home quarantine if they have a valid return ticket of travel within 48 hrs of their arrival.

Kerala: All asymptomatic passengers visiting Kerala for less than 7 days are exempted from home quarantine provided they obtain an entry pass for short visit from the Jagratha portal.

Karnataka: All asymptomatic passengers are exempted from quarantine but must self monitor their health for at least 14 days.

West Bengal: All asymptomatic passengers are exempted from quarantine but must self monitor their health for at least 14 days.

Maharashtra: All asymptomatic passengers who intend to stay for 7 days or less and have a valid return/onward ticket shall be exempted from quarantine.

Uttar Pradesh: All asymptomatic passengers who intend to stay for 7 days or less and have a valid return/onward ticket will be exempted from quarantine.

Goa: All asymptomatic passengers are exempted from quarantine.

Odisha: All asymptomatic passengers travelling to or out of Odisha for work for not more than 72 hours will be exempted from quarantine.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands: All asymptomatic passengers are exempted from quarantine.

Himachal Pradesh: All asymptomatic passengers carrying a COVID negative certificate through RT/PCR test or Trunaat/CB Naat test by an ICMR-authorized lab issued not earlier than 96 hours from the time when the sample was taken, are exempted from quarantine. In addition to this report, to enter the state and to get an exemption from quarantine, all tourists must also carry the hotel booking of not less than 2 days in the same hotel. Asymptomatic residents of Himachal Pradesh who had travelled to other states for medical, business or work purposes, may be exempted from quarantine if they exit or re-enter the state within 48 hrs.

Bihar: All asymptomatic passengers are exempted from quarantine.

Gujarat: All asymptomatic passengers arriving at Surat, Ahmedabad, Porbandar and Rajkot are exempted from quarantine.

Ladakh: All asymptomatic passengers carrying a Covid-19 negative certificate by an ICMR-authorised lab issued within 48 hours before arrival will be exempted from quarantine.

Madhya Pradesh: All asymptomatic passengers are exempted from quarantine but must self monitor their health for at least 14 days.

Telangana: All asymptomatic passengers are exempted from quarantine but must self-monitor their health for at least 14 days.

State-wise guidelines

Domestic Passengers:

All asymptomatic passengers arriving at Andaman are exempted from quarantine. All such passengers are allowed to travel to their residence/next destination by local/private transport.

International Passengers:

All passengers arriving from International flights into India must have the Aarogya Setu App installed on their mobile phones. 

It is mandatory for all arriving passengers to submit a self-declaration form on the online portal –www.newdelhiairport.in, atleast 72 hours prior to their travel. 

RT-PCR test is not required for passengers travelling on international flights to India on direct flights and also not required for passengers who do not wish to seek exemption from institutional quarantine. 

All asymptomatic passengers who are travelling on connecting flights will be exempted from institutional quarantine at the transit city if they are carrying a negative RT-PCR test report which has been conducted within 96 hrs prior to their flight.  

On arriving at the destination city, all state guidelines will be applicable. 

All asymptomatic passengers arriving from international fights are exempted from institutional quarantine if they are travelling under exceptional and compelling circumstances, such as pregnancy, death in family, serious illness, and parent(s) accompanied by children of the age of 10 years or below, or those who are travelling due to personal distress. However, these passengers will have to undergo mandatory 14 days of home quarantine. Exemption from institutional quarantine can be sought if they have applied for it online on www.newdelhiairport.in, atleast 72 hours prior to their flight.

Domestic Passengers:

All passengers traveling to Andhra Pradesh must enroll themselves on the Spandana website https://www.spandana.ap.gov.in/ , before their travel.

All asymptomatic passengers arriving at Andhra Pradesh will have to undergo home quarantine for 14 days.

Domestic Passengers:

All asymptomatic passengers arriving at Assam with same day return tickets are exempted from quarantine.

Other passengers without symptoms will have to undergo a combined institutional and home quarantine for at least 14 days. Period of institutional quarantine will be for 7 days or till the test results come in, whichever is less.

Asymptomatic passengers from the list below, are exempted from institutional quarantine, but will have to undergo home quarantine:

  • Pregnant women
  • Elderly person, over 75 years and requiring assistance
  • Person due to attend funeral and rituals associated with death of an immediate relative
  • Children below 10 years of age along with their parents & siblings
  • Divyang
  • Immediate relative of hospitalised patient
  • Patients who have recently undergone cardiac, kidney, cancer treatment/surgery/transplant
  • Husband and wife travelling together and also their children and/or parents accompanying them, if any.

Domestic Passengers:

It is mandatory for all passengers arriving at Himachal Pradesh to install the Aarogya Setu App and also to register, at least 48 hours prior to their arrival, on the Covid E-pass portal here - http://covid19epass.hp.gov.in. Army/CAPF personnel are not required to register on E-pass software if they have arrived to join back their official duty. They can enter/pass through the state on the strength of their official identity cards.

All asymptomatic passengers arriving from all states will be exempted from quarantine, if they are carrying a COVID negative certificate through RT/PCR test or Trunaat/CB Naat test by an ICMR-authorized lab issued not earlier than 96 hours from the time when the sample was taken. However they must take adequate measures like wearing a mask, social distancing etc to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

All other asymptomatic passengers arriving from cities with high prevalence of Covid-19 will have to undergo 7 days of institutional quarantine, followed by 7 days of home quarantine. Passengers arriving from cities with high prevalence of Covid-19 may only be exempted from institutional quarantine if they are travelling for exceptional and compelling reasons such as human distress, pregnancy, death in family, serious illness and parent(s) accompanied by children below 10 years. However, these passengers will then have to undergo home quarantine for 14 days.

All asymptomatic passengers arriving from other states will have to undergo 14 days of home quarantine.

Institutional and home quarantine will be as per the directives of the health department issued from time to time.

Students with/without accompanied parent(s) who move in and out of state for competitive examinations may be exempted from quarantine if they exit or re-enter state or vice versa within a period of 72 hours. The admit card issued by the examination authority shall be a valid document to enter and exit the state.

Asymptomatic residents of Himachal Pradesh who had travelled to other states for medical, business or work purposes, may be exempted from quarantine if they exit or re-enter the state within 48 hrs.

All tourists to Himachal Pradesh will be permitted to enter the state and may be exempted from quarantine, provided they are carrying a COVID negative certificate through RT/PCR test or Trunaat/CB Naat Test by an authorized lab, not older than 96 hours from the time when the sample was taken along with the hotel booking of at least 2 days. In addition, children less than 10 years of age are exempted from mandatory testing provided that all the accompanying adult passengers have been tested and have a Covid negative report with them.

Domestic Passengers:

All passengers arriving at Jammu & Kashmir will have to undergo Covid-19 antigen test through RT-PCR method or Rapid Antigen test.

Until the test results are reported negative, all passengers with contactable phone number with updated Aarogya Setu App will have to undergo home quarantine for 14 days.

Passengers without contactable phone number with updated Aarogya Setu App will have to undergo institutional quarantine for 14 days or till their test results are reported negative, in which case they will be released for home quarantine.

Asymptomatic Business travelers carrying a confirmed return ticket, confirmed hotel booking and their Business ID will be exempted from quarantine and will be permitted to proceed to their hotel from the airport after undergoing the Covid-19 test. However they will have to ensure that their interactions would be restricted to the business purpose only and they must also maintain details of persons they interact with during their stay at Jammu & Kashmir.

Personnel of Defense and Central Armed Police Forces returning on duty, including transit labour hired by BRO to go to Ladakh, will be exempted from Covid-19 antigen testing. They will be permitted to proceed for institutional quarantine at their respective units as per their internal procedures.

International Passengers:

All passengers arriving from International flights must have the following 3 Mobile Apps installed on their mobile phones:

  • Aarogya Setu App
  • Quarantine Watch App
  • Apthamitra App

It is mandatory for all passengers arriving at BENGALURU to submit a self-declaration form on the Yatri Karnataka online portal http://www.covidwar.karnataka.gov.in/ or https://parihara.karnataka.gov.in/Service38/, at least 72 hrs prior to departure.

All passengers arriving at MANGALORE must submit a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha online portal –www.newdelhiairport.in, atleast 72 hours prior to their travel.

All asymptomatic passengers will have to undergo home quarantine for 14 days.

Business/short term visit travelers returning within 7 days from the date of arrival and students who are arriving at Karnataka for writing an exam, will be exempted from quarantine provided they are carrying a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR test report. This test should have been conducted within 96 hrs prior to the travel. A declaration with respect to the authenticity of the test report must also be submitted.  If they are not carrying the test report, they will have to undergo Rapid Antigen test at arrival at the airport, for which the cost will have to be borne by the passenger.

Business/short term visit travelers staying in the state for less than 48 hours are exempted from Covid-19 test.

Business/short term visit travelers must also carry the following documents in original:

  • Confirmed return ticket within 7 days of arrival
  • Documents pertaining to the visit/invitation letter
  • Proof of place of stay/hotel reservation
  • Valid Visa

It is mandatory to have an active Indian SIM card prior to landing at Karnataka. Passengers who do not have an active SIM card can buy it from the airport or can ask their family members/friends to get an activated SIM card for them before their arrival.

Passengers must have their mobile phones and internet on at all times for the relevant authorities to contact them in order to monitor their mandatory home quarantine. It is a must for everyone to wear masks, sanitize frequently and to follow the social distancing rules.

RT-PCR test is not required for passengers travelling on international flights to India on direct flights. All asymptomatic passengers who are travelling on connecting flights will be exempted from quarantine at the transit city if they are carrying a negative RT-PCR test report which has been conducted within 96 hrs prior to their flight. They can also get the test done at the transit city airport. If the test result is negative, passenger will be permitted to travel further on the domestic flight.

On arriving at the destination city, all state guidelines will be applicable.

Domestic Passengers:

As per regulations imposed by State Governments, all passengers arriving at Kerala must have a valid e-pass after registering their details in state’s COVID Jagratha portal, without which the passenger will not be permitted to exit the airport - https://covid19jagratha.kerala.nic.in/home/addMedicalEmergencyPass.

On arrival, all asymptomatic passengers to show their e-pass to the health department at airport and undergo home quarantine for 14 days. Passengers visiting Kerala for less than 7 days are exempted from home quarantine provided they obtain an entry pass for short visit from the Jagratha portal here https://covid19jagratha.kerala.nic.in/home/shortVisit

If a passenger is travelling further to Tamil Nadu or any other State/UT, it is mandatory to obtain an e-pass for Tamil Nadu or any other State/UT depending upon his/her final destination, without which entry will be denied at the state border.

It is mandatory for all passengers arriving at Uttarakhand to install the Aarogya Setu App and register on the Smart City web portal http://smartcitydehradun.uk.gov.in prior to their travel.

All asymptomatic passengers arriving at Uttarakhand from all cities, who have undergone RT-PCR/ True NAT/ CBNAAT tests from an ICMR approved lab within 96 hrs prior to arrival and carry a Covid-19 negative test report, will be exempted from quarantine. It is mandatory for such passengers to upload their test reports at http://smartcitydehradun.uk.gov.in. Medical reports will also be verified by the district authorities upon arriving at Uttarakhand.

If a passenger is not carrying a negative Covid-19 test report, they can undergo the RT-PCR/Rapid Antigen tests on chargeable basis on arriving at Uttarakhand. Until the test result is declared, passenger will have to be home quarantined.

Other asymptomatic passengers arriving from cities with high prevalence of Covid-19 (as per the enclosed list), will have to undergo 7 days of institutional quarantine followed by 7 days of home quarantine. However, all pregnant women, seriously ill persons and senior citizens above the age of 65 years, or parent(s) accompanied by children below 10 years of age, will be exempted from institutional quarantine but will have to undergo 14 days of home quarantine. Such passengers will only be exempted from quarantine if they return to Uttarakhand within 72 hours.

Asymptomatic passengers arriving from flights which are transited through any of the cities with high prevalence of Covid-19 and those who have directly arrived from other states/cities (apart from the cities with high prevalence of Covid-19) will only have to undergo 14 days of home quarantine.

All asymptomatic passengers arriving at Uttarakhand for a short visit of up to 7 days, for exceptional and compelling reasons, such as cases of death in family, serious illness, visiting parents (old-aged)/ family members or any other reason of personal distress, shall be exempted from quarantine, but will only be allowed to move outside their homes (address that was specified on the web portal at the time of registration) to attend for the aforementioned reasons.

Business travelers will be exempted from quarantine provided they have an authorization letter from the concerned authorities.

All asymptomatic passengers who are workers, employees, experts/ consultants and suppliers involved in the different projects and construction activities of state / central government departments/ PSUs or authorized by businesses and management of industries located in Uttarakhand, travelling for the purpose of business, technical expertise for industries or other similar purposes, arriving into Uttarakhand shall be exempted from quarantine and there shall be no restriction regarding the minimum period of stay for such persons in the hotels. They shall be allowed to move to their workplace in the state on a daily basis, and shall be permitted to travel back to their place of origin, after completion of work.

In cases of inter-state movement for official purposes, Ministers of Government of India, Ministers of State Government, Chief Justice and other Judges of Supreme Court and High Courts, other Judicial officers of district and subordinate judiciary of the state, Advocate General, Chief Standing Counsel and other Government Advocates in the High Court of Uttarakhand, MPs and MLAs of Uttarakhand, all officers of GoI, State Government, PSUs, Central Government/State Government organisations, along with their support staff shall be exempted from quarantine.

West Bengal does not quarantine asymptomatic passengers & allow them to go to Sikkim.

There are screening facilities at the Sikkim border. After screening at the border, even asymptomatic passengers are taken for quarantine for 14 days; for the first 7 days, they will be put in Institutional Quarantine (Govt. facilities are free; Pvt. Accommodation will be on payment basis) and for the next 7 days, they will have to be quarantined at home.

If a person is on an official duty and is tested negative for COVID-19, he/she will be allowed to perform the duty & return without any restrictions.

Eligibility of passengers to travel on flights OUT OF INDIA:

  • Stranded UK nationals/residents, foreign nationals transiting through UK or spouses of these persons, whether accompanying or otherwise.
  • Any Indian national holding any type of valid UK visa and destined for UK only. Airline will check that there is no travel restriction for Indian Nationals to enter UK with the particular visa category before issue of ticket/boarding pass to the Indian passenger.
  • Seamen of foreign nationalities; Seamen holding Indian passports would be allowed subject to clearance from the Ministry of Shipping.

As per the directives issued by Government of UAE & Government of India, all passengers travelling on flights to/from UAE must adhere to the below guidelines:


Arriving into UAE:

  • UAE nationals and any Indian national holding any type of valid UAE visa are permitted to travel.
  • UAE residents must take the ICA/GDFRA clearance to travel to UAE.
  • Passengers who have fresh Resident visas (paper visa) issued effective 7th July, 2020 need not apply for GDRFA approval. As they have been issued with GDRFA approval.
  • All other visa types effective 7th July, 2020 – Visit/ Tourist/ VOA does not require GDRFA  or  ICA approval for travel
  • GDRFA approval for Dubai Issued residence visa is available on https://smart.gdrfad.gov.ae/Smart_OTCServicesPortal/ReturnPermitService.aspx

  • All passengers are required to fill the Health Declaration Form, prior to their travel to Dubai and give it to the staff at the Check-in. including passengers with a connecting flight. The form can be downloaded fromhttps://betawebapi.dcaa.gov.ae/Uploads/pdfs/HEALTH_DECLARATION_FORM.pdf
  • Passengers will also need to complete the quarantine undertaking form given on board if UAE is their final destination. The form must be handed over to the Dubai Health Authority staff on arrival.
  • All passengers must download the COVID-19 – DXB Smart App installed in their mobile phones before departure and register on it.  QR code will be generated as a proof of registration.   • All passengers travelling to Dubai must carry their Covid-19 negative report from an ICMR-approved laboratory. This includes transfer passengers also. Click here for approved laboratories list.
  • All passengers must carry printed/ hard copy of Negative Covid-19 certificates. PCR test will be valid no later than 96 hours before departure.
  • Children under the age of 12 years and/or those with moderate to severe disabilities are exempted from the PCR test
  • All Negative Covid-19 certificates must be signed and stamped by a healthcare provider.
  • All Negative Covid-19 certificates must be in English or have a translation of the result in English.
  • All passengers please note additional reports of case assessment or other tests such as Rapid test for Antigen or Antibody are not required and cannot replace the Covid-19 PCR test report.
  • All Negative Covid-19 certificates should have the name and contact details of the providing laboratory/health institute.
  • Information should be clearly written preferably in block letters and easily identified and understood.
  •  Damaged Negative Covid-19 certificates will not be accepted at the Airport check-in counter
  •  The 96 hour time frame for accepting the Negative Covid-19 certificates should start from the date of sample/swab collection not from the date of report issuing.
  • Some passengers may have to undergo another PCR test on arriving at Dubai
  • All flights arriving into and departing from Dubai from 1st September, 2020  onwards will now operate from Terminal 2, Dubai International Airport

Arriving into India:

  • Only Indian nationals stranded in UAE, all Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders holding UAE passports ( Click here for OCI details), and UAE national holding valid visa issued by an Indian mission in any category (including diplomats) as per the Ministry of Home Affairs’ guidelines are permitted to travel to India. Please check the guidelines  here
  • Exemption from institutional quarantine can be sought if they have applied for it online on   https://www.newdelhiairport.in/airsuvidha/apho-registration , at least 72 hrs prior to their flight. Alternatively, such passengers can also submit a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR test report on arrival. This test should have been conducted within 96 hrs prior to their flight. The test report should also be uploaded on the portal for consideration
  • Passengers including OND domestic, who do not have a valid Covid -9 certificate will have to undergo institutional quarantine on arrival into India at the port of entry.
  • All passengers must have the Aarogya Setu App installed on their mobile phones
  • All passengers arriving from Dubai into India must submit a self-declaration form on the online portal Air Suvidha prior to their travel at  https://www.newdelhiairport.in/airsuvidha/apho-registration
  • An undertaking must also be submitted for accepting that they would undergo mandatory paid institutional quarantine for 7 days followed by home quarantine for 7 days
  • Passengers without symptoms arriving from international fights are exempted from institutional quarantine if they are travelling under exceptional and compelling circumstances, such as pregnancy, death in family, serious illness, and parent(s) accompanied by children of the age of 10 years or below, or those who are travelling due to personal distress. However, these passengers will have to undergo mandatory 14 days of home quarantine
  • All flights departing from and arriving into Dubai, between 17th and 31st August, 2020 will now operate from Terminal 2,
    Dubai international airport.

  • Note: Documents as mentioned above will be verified by the airport staff at the check-in counters. Passengers will be denied boarding if they are not able to furnish the aforementioned documents and apps.

  • Introduction (Special Assistance):

    Our employees are trained to assist our differently-abled passengers and for any sorts of limitations, we offer a wide variety of special assistance.

    Please be aware that there might be unpredictable circumstances such as weather or mechanical problems that may call for a last minute unavoidable change, but we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

  • Onboard Facilities:

    Following assistance are available on-board SpiceJet’s aircraft:

    • Assistance in moving to and from seats/lavatory.
    • Help in preparation for eating.

    However, we express our inability to provide passengers with any assistance for personal care needs on-board, such as, eating/ drinking, administration of medication, elimination functions including assistance inside the lavatory, or other personal care needs. If you require assistance with any of these, we recommend that you travel with a personal care attendant.

  • Seating accommodation and aircraft accessibility for differently-abled passengers:

    We will do our best to allocate you a seat that is most suitable to your needs. However, in order to meet the safety requirements as prescribed by the DGCA, passengers with mobility limitations which make it unsafe to facilitate aircraft evacuations will not be given a seat in a location where they would obstruct emergency exits, impede the crew in their duties, obstruct access to emergency equipment or hinder aircraft evacuation.

  • Accessible Lavatories:

    A lavatory with a single panel door is available on all our aircraft. Our cabin crew can provide you with assistance moving to and from the lavatory door but will not be able to assist you inside the lavatory.

  • SpiceJet offers special services for the following:
    • Wheelchair users or passengers using wheelchairs (mobility assistance);
    • Passengers travelling with crutches/ braces/ other prosthetic devices;
    • Passengers with Visual Impairment;
    • Passengers Travelling with Certified Guide Dogs;
    • Passengers with Hearing Impairment;
    • Passenger travelling with spinal support;
    • Passenger travelling with an assistant for medical purposes;
    • Passengers; with intellectual/ developmental/ learning disabilities;
    • Passengers travelling with Internal Medical Devices;

    • Passengers requiring oxygen aid;
  • Mobility Assistance:
    • SpiceJet would be more than happy to provide a wheelchair for you, should you require this service. In order to ensure the service meets your needs, our reservation team and/ or the staff may ask you some questions to determine the level of assistance you require. To allow us to provide the best possible assistance, please provide us with as much appropriate information as possible at the time of your booking and/ or at the time of check-in;
    • SpiceJet wheelchair service is provided, with an attendant, at no additional charge to you. The attendant will assist in transporting you within the airport area, to the boarding gate and/ or the aircraft door (depending upon the airport facilities). Our team is trained in transferring techniques, and can assist if you are unable to transfer by yourself from the wheelchair to/ from your seat. However, to have this facility extended to you an advance intimation to SpiceJet is required;

    • If you are travelling in a group of 10 or more people and require wheelchairs, please contact our Reservations =+919871803333/ +919654003333 at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure;
    • Passengers travelling with their own wheelchair differently-abled passengers may use their own manual or battery-powered wheelchair up to the boarding gate and/ or the aircraft door (subject to permission granted by the respective airport authority). SpiceJet allows only manual/ collapsible wheelchairs on all its flights. Unfortunately, battery-powered wheelchair(s) with a wet cell battery shall not be accepted since it’s corrosive in nature and is considered to be a Dangerous Good;
  • Passengers travelling with Crutches / Braces / other Prosthetic Devices:

    Passengers are allowed to use their own crutches, braces and/ or other prosthetic devices up to the aircraft, and may board such items as cabin baggage, provided the passengers are dependent on them.

  • Passengers with Visual Impairment:
    • SpiceJet would request passengers with Visual Impairment to check-in early for their flight (approximately 2-3 hours before the flight departure) for a hassle free experience;
    • If assistance is required within the airport, please make your needs identified at the check-in and/ or at the time of booking;
    • SpiceJet will be able to extend a meet and assist service, individual safety briefings, priority boarding, assistance on-board in moving to and from the seat, reading the menu, helping in boarding and/ or de-boarding and also during flight connections;
    • If you use a cane and/ or other assisting device, it may be carried in the aircraft cabin with you, provided it can be stowed in the overhead compartment. The cane should not block any emergency exit or protrude into the aisle;
    • You may ask our cabin crew for assistance in stowing and retrieving your cane in case it is not collapsible or if it cannot be stowed under your seat.

    All such assisting devices will be carried free of charge. For convenience, you may request our Cabin Crew for the assistance required and we will do our best to assist the passengers in the best possible manner.

  • Passengers with Hearing Impairment

    If you require assistance during your flight with us, we encourage you to let us know how we may best assist you at the time of your booking or during check-in.

    We offer the following assistance:

    • Meet and assist service to escort you to and from the aircraft;
    • Priority boarding.

    We do not require advance notification if you wish to bring onboard hearing aid or assistive listening devices. These devices can be used during all phases of the flight.

    If you plan to bring a transmitting device on-board, please advise us at least 48 hours in advance so we can ensure that it is compliant with the safety requirements.

  • Passengers travelling with Spinal Support Equipment (SSE):

    Passengers must bring their own spinal support equipment and should be fully responsible for its installation, usage and removal. Passenger-supplied spinal support equipment will be carried free of charge. If you are planning to travel with Spinal Support Equipment (SSE), we recommend that you please contact us on +919871803333/ +919654003333, at least 7 (seven) working days prior to departure and inform us of your SSE specifications. Our staff will then check to ensure that whether your equipment can be accommodated safely in the aircraft.

  • Passenger travelling with an assistant for medical purposes:

    For safety reasons, SpiceJet may require some differently-abled passengers to travel with a Safety Assistant that can provide them with assistance in comprehending and responding appropriately to safety instructions from the cabin crew and/or assist them to evacuate the aircraft in the event of an emergency. A Safety Assistant is mandatory if the passenger:

    • Is travelling in a stretcher or incubator or requires medical attention during the flight. The Safety Assistant must be capable of attending to their medical needs;
    • Is unable to comprehend or respond properly to safety instructions due to a cognitive or developmental disability;
    • Has severe mobility impairment, due to which the passenger is unable to evacuate on his own in the event of an emergency;
    • Has severe hearing and vision impairment and cannot communicate with our cabin crew.
  • Passengers having Autism or Intellectual Disability:
    • Passengers with Intellectual disabilities or Down syndrome or Autism can book their flights by contacting SpiceJet’s Reservations at +919871803333/ +919654003333;
    • While making the reservation, please advise us about your specific requirements and the best way to approach and assist in travel;
    • Passengers with intellectual disabilities or Down syndrome or Autism may be required to travel with an Accompanying Passenger.
    • The trained attendant shall carry the treating physician’s certificate along with a prescription for a sedative medicine, which may be administered by the attendant, prior to commencement of travel or as may be required en-route.
    • Passengers with psychiatric and/ or emotional disorders shall always travel with a suitable personal care attendant.
  • Passengers travelling with Internal Medical Devices:

    If you are travelling with an internal medical device, such as a pacemaker or a defibrillator, kindly inform us while making the reservation and also at the airport, to the security personnel conducting your screening, before the process begins.

  • Passengers who require a stretcher:
    • To make a booking for a stretcher request, please inform us no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure of the flight.
    • Passengers are required to take a print-out of the SpiceJet’s medical form (MEDIF) available on the website. The treating physician must fill the form prior to the booking and mail this to [email protected];
    • Based on an assessment by SpiceJet’s internal physician, the passenger will be communicated about the status for their request for stretcher within 24 hours of receiving the duly filled-in MEDIF via e-mail.
    • Please note that SpiceJet reserves the right to have a SpiceJet medical representative meet the passenger at the airport on the date of travel to determine the passenger’s then-current medical fitness to travel on that date.
    • The applicable charge for accommodating request for stretcher in the aircraft shall be the charge for 09 (nine) seats at the prevailing fare plus a Handling Fee for the stretcher is of INR 30,000 (inclusive of service tax and cess).
  • a)   Passenger who require Oxygen Onboard:
    • SpiceJet provides oxygen onboard without any charges and is subject to availability and needs prior approval.
    • Please complete a Medical Information Form to let us know of the flow rate you need, in litres per minute.
    • Passenger to write to [email protected] with an updated form filled by the patient’s treating doctor at least 48 hours before your flight departure.
    • Provision of Oxygen is subject to the approval of the submitted form by the SpiceJet Chief Medical Officer and operations team.
    • Passenger whose Oxygen request has been approved should report at least 3 hours prior to the departure of the flight.
    b)   Passenger carrying Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC):
    • POC is allowed in domestic / international (Boeing and Q-400) direct/ via / connecting flights.
    • POC is allowed in hand baggage & check-in baggage both.
    • Request for carriage of Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) in flight should be sent to [email protected] at least 48 hours prior to flight departure.
