| New Delhi, April 8, 2009: SpiceJet, India's leading low fare airline, launches Home Away Insurance for all its customers in collaboration with Tata AIG. This innovative scheme with a cover of upto Rs One lakh covers damage, disappearance or destruction of furniture, clothes, electrical equipments etc, on account of burglary at the passenger's residence, he/she is away on personal travel trip. "Home Away Insurance" is available free of charge to all who book through spicejet.com. |

- Sale of tea / coffee on board for Rs 20 served with cookies
- New menu of sandwich of the day – a choice from 3 new types in both vegetarian and non vegetarian options
- Travelers can now collect boarding pass for the day return flight at time of check in
- International passengers (USA & Cananda) get a "two bag" waiver if they travel us within 24 hours of their international leg.
- Golf bags / sports kits are treated as normal baggage. No additional charges for the same if under 20 kilos.
- Unaccompanied minors now travel without any special handling charge.
- In-flight music while boarding and deplaning composed in house by Moin Wasil.
