SpiceJet introduces 23 new connections
--- Bookings on single PNR; through check-in of luggage ---
New Delhi, August 6, 2009: SpiceJet today announces 23 new connections within its existing network spanning 18 cities. This will help travel, through interconnecting flights, to destinations that were earlier not connected on SpiceJet. Tickets to multiple interconnecting destinations can now be booked on one PNR through spicejet.com, SpiceJet reservation by calling 1-800-180 3333 / 0987 180 3333, SpiceJet airport counters and through Travel Agents.
To enhance the ease of travel, guest luggage will be checked in once at the time of check-in from the city of origin. Two boarding cards will be also issued at same time.
Announcing this Samyukth Sridharan, Chief Commercial Officer, SpiceJet Limited said, "Earlier this year we introduced this option of booking on single PNR for interconnecting flights. The overwhelming response to this has encouraged us to offer these 23 new connections. We now offer 47 such connections within our nationwide network. Now a passenger travelling from Kolkata can reach Srinagar via Delhi within six and a half hours through interconnecting flights. This entire journey can be booked on one PNR and bags can be checked in to the final destination. On reaching Delhi, the passenger needs to deplane and proceed for the next leg of the travel after completing the security formalities."
"Apart from the ease of booking and travel, this form of booking ensures confirmed ticket for the passengers for the entire duration of travel. This is yet another example of the kind of customer oriented benefits that SpiceJet has always stood for. This unique aspect of the brand experience is highlighted through our campaign theme: 'Get more when you fly. SpiceJet" he concluded.
