- How does SpiceJet classify a guest and an infant?

"Infants" are classified as children below 2 years of age on the date of travel and "guests" are those above 2 years of age on the date of travel. Infants would travel on their parent's/guardian (separate seat will not be provided for infants). Applicable charges would be levied per sector towards the infant’s booking.
- How do I book for an infant?

Guests traveling with infants are requested to specify the same at the time of booking. In case they forget to do so they are requested to call the Guest Sales and Reservations number before their date of travel and SpiceJet’s staff will assist them with the booking. A fee of 800INR per sector is to be paid towards the same. Due to limited inventory for accommodating infants per flight, Guests are requested to follow the above mentioned procedure when booking children below 2 years of age. A maximum of one Infant is allowed per adult. Proof of age is required, so please carry the Infant's Passport/valid ID (birth certificate) for inspection at the airport on the date of travel. No baby/car seats or push chairs are allowed in the aircraft cabin. No extra seats may be booked for Infants and Infants do not qualify for a free Baggage allowance.
- What should I do if I need special assistance?

Should you require any special services while you travel with SpiceJet, please call our Guest Sales & Reservation Center and inform our staff of your requirements. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. The Guest Relations Executive shall guide the caller through the formalities (if any) involved.
- What is SpiceJet's policy regarding unaccompanied young guests?

SpiceJet will accept children aged between 5-12 years traveling alone as unaccompanied children. SpiceJet does not charge any fee for this service. It is mandatory to produce photo identification at the airport for all unaccompanied minors. Guests should complete and sign an Unaccompanied Minor Form at the departing airports, We will take charge of their custody and on arrival we require the designated recipient to show identification and sign for the UNM’s custody. During the trip the children will be escorted by our staff throughout the airport processes and seated in the aircraft where our In-flight personnel will keep a watchful eye on them. Guests above the age of 12 will be expected to travel alone.
- What are the regulations for expectant mothers traveling on SpiceJet?

Expectant mothers may travel up to and including the 27 weeks of their pregnancy, and will be accepted between the 28 to 35 weeks only if they are in possession of a doctor's certificate confirming the stage of their pregnancy and stating that they are fit to fly. For 28 weeks up to and including 32 weeks duration of pregnancy-The fit to fly certificate must be issued (by the guest's attending gynecologist/MBBS doctor) at the most 72 hours prior to departure.This certificate will have to be presented at check-in when requested. For 33 weeks up to and including 35 weeks duration of pregnancy-The fit to fly certificate must be issued (by the guest's attending gynecologist/MBBS doctor) at the most 24 hours prior to departure. This certificate will have to be presented at check-in when requested. Expectant mothers 36 weeks and above are not allowed to fly on SpiceJet flights. Upon reservation we will make every effort to ensure that any special services you may require such as wheelchairs from the airport check-in to the aircraft are available for your use. This service is limited to only 4 guests per flight.
