SpiceJet awards LIFT for Tourist Class Seating in 737 MAX & 737 Next Gen Aircraft
  • Light weight seats to provide more legroom to customers
  • Wider seat length to make travel even more comfortable

LE BOURGET, France, June 21, 2017 : In sync with its ‘customer first’ approach, SpiceJet, India’s favourite low-cost carrier, has awarded a seat programme to US-based commercial aircraft seating manufacturer, LIFT by EnCore for its first 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. A part of SpiceJet’s current Boeing 737 Next Gen fleet will also be retrofitted with the new seats.

Owing to its superior design, lighter weight and extra legroom, passenger-centric Tourist Class Seating has garnered tremendous popularity in the global aviation space. It is also wider than other seats within the aircraft category. Once in place, it will elevate comfort and convenience of passengers and enhance customer experience.

Mr. Ajay Singh – CMD, SpiceJet said, “We are going to ensure that our customers have the most comfortable seats to sit on when they fly SpiceJet. The seats that we have ordered today are the widest, with the most legroom, and the lightest seats available today.”

Elijah Dobrusin, Vice President of Development & Strategy for LIFT by EnCore, said, “The SpiceJet program award brings together two companies with very similar goals. We are market disrupters with the goal of optimizing the passenger experience, and we look forward to providing LIFT Tourist Class Seating for SpiceJet’s customers.”
