

Trivandrum
Also known as Tiruvananthapuran, this is the capital city of Kerala. With the Arabian Sea on one side and the green mainland on the other, Trivandrum offers a slice of Kerala in all its beauty. Kovalam beach is 17 km from Thiruvananthapuram City, is a world famous beach, noted being one of the finest.
The Hawa beach which is also called the Eve's Beach is one of the tourists' attractions that is not to be missed by anyone. The Hawa and the kovalam beach are separated from each other by the Edakallu foreland. The sunset in its entire splendor can be viewed from this headland - Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple
This temple is the historical landmark of Trivandrum. It has an idol 18 feet long. Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple is adorned with gold and precious stones. The idol of Lord Vishnu on the Serpent Anantha in a reclining posture is made of Kudusarkara blended with expensive things. This idol also includes herbs and Salagramam, which is usually not used in Kudusarkara idols. The detection of gold jewels on the idol developed great interest in the temple and made a significant record in the history. - The Kanakakunnu Palace
The Kanakakunnu Palace was built during the rule of the Travancore King. Royal banquets viewed the palace as the main venue. This palace is on a small hill encircled with meadows as well as grooves and is a perfect model for people who have the taste for art. The building is beautiful and the magnificent appearance of the building is awesome. This palace is a major tourist attraction in Trivandrum. This museum is 150 year old and was built by Travancore Maharaja in 1855. The museum has numerous collections of cultural importance, Kathakali models, traditional musical instruments, and many more vivid collections. Stone sculptures of the 8th and 18th century are exhibited.
